Bishop James & Pastor Katie

Our Journey Together

We greet you in the name of the Father, The Word, and The Holy Spirit

We are a husband and wife team who love the Lord and have come to realize that God has brought us together in marriage to embark upon a mission for Him.  God has yielded us as instruments to teach His word and to help lead the lost to Him.

We desire your prayers as we seek to receive God's inspirations, to diligently study His Word and to obey His directions for our lives. We most humbly submit to the task set before us to win souls for Christ.  We hope to share with you through our website God's good news, the Word of God.

Our Journey Together
Bishop James and Pastor Katie's journey first began as Living For Christ Ministries, founded by Rev. Katie L. Dargan and chartered in 1996 as a ministry working in conjunction with their Community Service Outreach Youth Programs,  Project H.O.P.E. (Help Our People to Excel, Inc.)  and later Glen-Ed Community Hope, Inc.

Bishop James and Rev. Katie are known for their diligence in serving wherever God may lead, thus, Living for Christ became noted as a Church without walls. Denominations were not a barrier and if there was a "Macedonian Call", they would go where no man dared to go.
A "Macedonian Call" came in 2007 for Bishop James and Pastor Katie to go and assist another Church, known as MERCI (Maranatha Evangelical Resurrection Church International), Cahokia, IL for a period of two years,  after which in 2009 their Church, Living For Christ Ministries became  (POLC) Path Of Life Church.
On October 7th, 2009 (POLC) Path of Life Church was incorporated by the state of Illinois. On October 15th Rev. Katie L. Dargan founder, became Vice President, Secretary, and was appointed Co-Pastor with her husband,  James L. Dargan, who served as President, Bishop and Pastor of the Church.
After showing forth her readiness to lead and serve, and, by the leading of God's Holy Spirit on July 18. 2010, Rev. Katie L. Dargan was elevated to Pastor of POLC, to lead the Church on to even greater victories.

In 2014 POLC launched its first subsidiary program, New Direction Community Hope, Summer Enrichment program for low income at-risk children and families for Cahokia, IL and surrounding areas.  The program provides opportunities for the youth to participate in a variety of challenging education and learning activities designed to enhance indidual learning skills, build self esteem, and promote an awareness and understanding of good citizenship.  The program is open to all young people between ages 5-14.

To God Be The Glory In Jesus Name Amen
