Planning Committee Purpose

The Purpose of the Conference Planning Committee is to help implement the vision that God gave to Pastor Katie L. Dargan, Founder and President of Prayer Warrior Partnership Ministries, by bringing together in a Prayer Conference the Prayer Warrior Partners. These are men and women who have always prayed together through the channel of the internet, and through their face-to-face interactions at PWPM’S Men and Women Prayer Breakfasts. They do their prayer breakfasts with all who love to pray.  One important factor is that the Prayer Warrior Partners will have the opportunity to put faces to the names that they have become so familiar with over the internet thereby experiencing a spirit of togetherness and fellowship.  The Conference Planning Committee also has the task of setting the Conference Schedule i.e. Workshops, Instructors, Topics when applicable, and choosing Lunch and/or Dinner Menus, and other details together. Our prayer is that each Prayer Partner will be enhanced through the blessings that come through various workshops, prayers, songs, praises, testimonies, sharing, teachings, deliverance, and, above all, that they would leave the conference empowered by the Holy Spirit to have a closer walk with the Lord.

Pastor Michael O. AfoláyanMichael O. Afoláyan, together with his wife, Dr. Precious Olufunke Afolayan, founded Maranatha Evangelical Resurrection Church International (MERCI) Ministries. Michael’s Christian principle has always been to operate purely on Spirit-led missions. In the last few years, for instance, he has answered the Spirit’s call to a door-to-door evangelism outreach during the Cahokia Mission. This would be followed by a Radio Ministry, called “The Voice of MERCI,” and then a Yoruba Bible on Tape project, which is still an on-going project. Michael and his wife are just embarking on their current mission, which is to start an orphanage and adoption agency, Home of Mercy  (HOMER), in their homeland of Nigeria. Michael is the current Assistant Director of Academic Affairs for the State of Illinois’ Board of Higher Education in Springfield, Illinois. Prior to this appointment, Michael was a Professor of Education at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He is a graduate of the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in Nigeria, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Yale University, New Haven Connecticut.
