Pastor Katie L. Dargan

Pastor Katie L. Dargan is the wife of The Right Reverend James L. Dargan and the mother of Richard Spearman, Jr. and Dorothy (Dotti) M. Macon (Illinois) and has three Granddaughters Tabitha (Missi) Spearman, Nikki Morrison and LaKeyla Spearman and Seven Greatgrand children Torisha, Corian, Almoni, Jaelyn,  Xavier, Ziona and Tawny .  Rev. Katie is Pastor of Path of Life church in Cahokia, IL.  where her husband, The Rt. Reverend James L. Dargan is Bishop.

  • Rev. Katie came to Christ at the age of fifteen and was yielded to the ministry at the age of eighteen.  She attended Holy Trinity Church/School (Non-Denom.)  Mt. Vernon/Centralia, IL.
  • Called to the ministry by God at age 18 and yielded to the pulpit by Rev. Virgie Gray 1965 Holy Trinity Church-School (Non-Denom.) Centralia, IL.
  • Ministerial License 1994 by Rev. Charles Moses King of The New Life Church of God In Christ Macon, GA
  • Founder/President/Pastor of Living For Christ Ministries 1996  Edwardsville, I
  • Ordained Deaconess Feb. 25, 2006 by Archbishop Hartley Ward Good Shepherd Church of The Anglican Church Worldwide Belleville, IL
  • Admitted to the priesthood 2007 by Bishop John G. Githiga of The All Nations Anglican Church Chandler, Arizona
  • Admitted to All Nations Anglican Church On line Seminary 2007
  • 2009 Founder/Vice President of Path Of Life Church Cahokia, IL  where she now Pastor.

Pastor Katie's Ministerial work stands above all that she has accomplished in her secular life as follows:  
 
  • Graduated from St. Mary's Hospital School of Radiologic Technology 1970 Centralia, IL.
  • Became a Registered Radiologic Technologist under the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (R.T. (ARRT)
  • Attended Columbia School of Broadcasting Chicago, IL
  • Hosted "Let's Talk" Radio Program WKAN 1320 AM 1984-89 Kankakee, IL
  • Vice President of Kankakee County and Community Services Board of Directors Kankakee, IL
  • Campaign Manager for Shirleen Henderson mid 80's who won the position of Kankakee County Township Clerk, Kankakee, IL
  • MID 1990's wrote Bi-weekly article for Edwardsville Intelligencer Newspaper Edwardsville, IL
  • Author of Published Book of Poetry - "Choose To Be Happy" dedicated to the library at  Zadok Casey Junior High School Mt. Vernon, IL 
  • VISTA Volunteer
  • Co-Founder/Director with husband - 1996-2002 Project H.O.P.E. (Name changes:  Help Our People Excel and Glen-Ed Community Hope Youth Program). Grassroot programs to serve the at-risk children and families and worked in conjunction with Living For Christ Ministries
  • Awarded The 2000 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Edwardsville, IL
  • Served on Advisory Board for Edwardsville Community Unit School District 7, Edwardsville, IL
  • Had a stroke in 2002 and in 2009 was mandated by God to reopen Living For Christ Ministries and later became Path of Life Church, located in Cahokia, IL
  • Founder/Director of  "New Direction Community Hope" a Subsidiary of Path of Life Church Cahokia, IL 2013-Present.  A Grassroot program to serve the low income, at-risk children and families in Cahokia, IL and surrounding areas.
